The translation memory or TM is a database of pair segments in different languages. TM projects in Radialix 2 are separate. You can connect TM projects to localization projects to use the auto-translation feature. Besides, every localization project has a built-in memory of deleted translations. This memory stores translations that are deleted after updating a resource. You can create a new TM project using a new project wizard.

Localization of Hard-Coded Strings |

Radialix 2 localizes resources and strings in the application code (hard-coded strings). The program has built-in tools for string search. However the installation package also contains the RDMAP plug-in for IDA (http://www.hex-rays.com/idapro/), which enables the user to search and edit hard-coded strings with considerably better quality and efficiency. If a string becomes longer after translation, Radialix can carry it over to the next section and correct references to this string automatically. Using the RDMAP plugin, the program can also increase the length of a string by using byte-fillers in the end of a string.

Graphic and binary resources are edited in external editors. The user can set up external editors on the Tools tab in the Options dialog (Tools>Options…). The settings of the editor are configured for each type of resources separately. Radialix 2 has a built-in editor for some types of resources; other types of data can be edited only in an external editor.

The user can import using the import wizard (File>Import). The first window of the wizard requires you to choose where to save imported data to, select the language of imported translations and type of imported files. The type of supported files to import depends on the type of a file used for import. The Export wizard (File>Export) helps the user to export translations to a variety of output files. The wizard opens into the window that requires you to select a file to export, choose an output format and enter the name of a new file. Once these settings are configured, the user needs to click the Next button to go to the next window of the wizard.
